On Sunday 6th August 2023, I and ten other contestants will feature on Channel 4’s most extreme survival experiment: Alone.

“Alone is TV’s most epic, extreme and uncompromising survival experiment. It’s the ultimate test of endurance and ingenuity, in one of the most beautiful but challenging landscapes on earth, eleven ordinary people face the ultimate test of survival. Dropped, completely alone, with no camera crew, in the remote wilderness of northwest Canada, each contestant must fend for themselves and survive for as long as possible, equipped with only a handful of basic tools, whilst filming their own adventure. The rules are simple but uncompromising: the last person standing wins £100,000.”

Laura: “I’m desperate to get out and connect with nature, and be away from the noise of digital and other people and to go really, really deep and see what I’m capable of.”
I was sent the application for the Alone TV show by a few friends. They said it was the perfect adventure for me. It’s something I had wanted to try for many years – living alone in the wild and fending for myself. Would I be able to do it?
After many years of doing challenges and adventures, I felt ready to do something like this – the ultimate test of survival!
